Fall Garden Update + 2026 Flower Subscription Preview
What’s Happening in The Garden
Fall is always a busy time to wrap up everything outside before the cold settles in. This year I planted peonies, fancy daffodils, and alliums for the first time! The peonies will take a couple of years to establish, but those fluffy daffodils and alliums should make their debut this spring, and I can’t wait to share them with you.
I also finished digging and dividing all the dahlia tubers and tucked them into their cozy winter storage. As many of you know, we had a smaller dahlia harvest this summer and fall, so I was nervous to see what things looked like underground. Thankfully, the dahlias did one thing very well: they made tons of new tubers for next season! A huge sigh of relief.
And we can’t forget about the tulips! All the bulbs are nestled in for a long winter’s sleep. Come mid-April, they’ll burst through the soil, right when us Michiganders need it most. We grow a mix of double, single, and fringe varieties, each a little different and so fun to watch as they open and live out their magical life in your home.
🌷 2026 Flower Subscriptions: Open Friday, November 28
Below is a look at each subscription we’ll be offering for 2026 on our website. This will be our fourth year offering flower subscriptions. Each year I listen to what customers are saying, and I tweak things to make each one a wonderful experience. If you are an original ‘OG’ flower subscriber from the beginning, THANK YOU! You’ve been along for the ride and know they have changed a bit each year.
Tulip Subscription
One bunch of tulips each week for three consecutive weeks beginning mid- to late April (exact start date depends on spring temperatures). These locally grown tulips are truly the first big burst of color after a long Michigan winter. And don’t tell the other flowers, but they might be my favorite. 😉
Summer Subscription
One mixed flower bouquet every week for five consecutive weeks starting around the end of July (when our flowers really start to crank out the blooms). These bouquets are some of my favorites to create. Each one a little different, filled with the best blooms of the garden and shifting color palettes that reflect the heart (and heat) of our Michigan summer. My hope is that they help you slow down and savor part of the summer season.
Fall Subscription
One mixed flower bouquet each week for three consecutive weeks starting around September 8, 2026. This is the garden’s last big show of the year, filled with fall-inspired colors, perfect for easing into cozy fall.
Bloom Bundle Subscription
If you’d like to enjoy all three subscriptions, this is the best option. You receive every subscription at a discounted rate with one of the weeks free.
Pickup & Delivery
All subscriptions include free pickup at the flower stand on Tuesdays from 4–7pm. You’ll receive a welcome email at least two weeks before your subscription begins, plus reminder emails each week. Pickup is simple: cross your name off the list, grab a flower food packet and your wrapped bouquet, and enjoy your blooms!
We also offer delivery within a 10-mile radius for a fee. Deliveries usually take place Tuesday mornings between 8–10am, though we can coordinate another day if needed. Delivery customers receive their first bouquet in a bucket of water to keep, and you place the bucket out with water each week for your bouquet. (And yes—I always bring extras in case someone forgets!) This is in case you’re not home at the time of delivery and don’t have to feel left waiting.
Final Thoughts
I hope you know just how grateful I am for each of you. 2026 will mark my fourth season growing flowers, and every year I learn so much. Thank you for cheering me on, reading these newsletters, sharing our small but mighty garden with your friends, and supporting locally grown flowers and our family. It truly means the world.
I hope this Thanksgiving brings you time to slow down, savor the season, and enjoy loved ones.
